Meet the leaders and advisors guiding Teal Asia’s mission for cervical health awareness, education, and support.

YM Raja Datin Riza
Vice President

YM Raja Datin Riza is a lawyer by training, called to the Malaysian Bar in 2000, and holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Glamorgan (UK), a Certificate of Legal Practice, and a Diploma in Syarie Legal Practice from IIUM. After nearly two decades in legal practice, including as Managing Partner of her own firm established in 2004, she expanded her work into philanthropy, humanitarian leadership, and community advocacy.

Her commitment to service spans over two decades, most notably through MERCY Malaysia, where she served as a long-standing EXCO member and former Vice President II, contributing to the development of legal, compliance, and governance systems, and supporting international humanitarian missions. She also played a key role in establishing MERCY Humanitarian UK in 2014 and previously served as Director of Philanthropy at Sunway Education Group and Chief Executive Officer of the MERCY Centre of Humanitarian Development.

Currently, she manages the business operations of her law firm and is a mother of three. These lived responsibilities ground her advocacy in compassion and a deep commitment to safeguarding the wellbeing of women, families, and future generations.

Ms. Suraya Yeop Junior
Secretary

Suraya Yeop Junior began her career in public relations, honing her PR and communication skills at Salina & Associates PR. Equipped with a strong foundation in communications, she went on to join Media Prima Berhad, where her role expanded into marketing and branding for the group’s pioneering digital arm.Her journey in media continued when she was roped in as one of the anchors for TV3’s prolific and longest-running women’s programme, Wanita Hari Ini. Following the birth of her three children, Suraya seamlessly transitioned her hosting career at Astro. She was part of the pioneer team of hosts for Go Shop and later served as a television presenter for Mingguan Wanita, a women’s programme spearheaded by Astro in collaboration with Karangkraf.Known amongst her peers as SYJ, Suraya has always possessed a keen creative eye. While balancing her hosting commitments across multiple television platforms, she founded her own interior design practice. While she focuses most of her time raising her kids aged 10, 12 and 16, today she leads SYJ Interior & Design, a boutique interior design firm, where she serves as Principal Designer.Suraya adores cats and is a proud Meowmie to three overweight furballs. She is also a pickleball and padel addict and plays regularly with her husband and friends.

Ms. Ong Suat Cheng
Treasurer

With decades of experience in the magazine and books publishing industry, Ong Suat Cheng has dedicated her career to bringing powerful narratives to life. Not just publishing them but making sure they truly matter. Her journey started with a simple belief: stories have the power to change lives. Today, that belief drives everything she does.

“I have worked with incredible everyday person’s story – helped shaped narratives that spark conversations, and published books that go beyond entertainment. By elevating their voices, words are transformed into bridges, and stories become catalysts of change – the community may find strength, understanding or the courage to continue.”

Driven by passion and purpose, Cheng continues to redefine publishing as a force for social good, proving that stories can transform lives and communities.

Ms. Teri Choong
Ordinary Member

Teri is a cancer survivor & warrior who has spent her career harnessing corporate resources to create value for the underserved. Since 2003, her breast/cervical cancer advocacy has raised hundreds of thousands for underserved women, earning multiple Women of Excellence Awards.

An economics major, she built a decades-long corporate career abroad — 11 years in Formula One motorsports, Executive Director of a Performing Arts Theatre, and Regional Director at a Japanese MNC leading Sustainability & Compliance across 18 countries.

Her passion for service began with a UN program at a Tibetan refugee camp in Sri Karnataka, India, and continued on the ground as part of the disaster relief crew that rebuilt Dabong village, Kelantan, after one of the worst floods in the region’s history. She is a qualified Emergency First Responder and Rescue Diver.

Teri led Persatuan Kebajikan Generasi Gemilang’s transformation into a tax-exempted foundation, founding Yayasan Generasi Gemilang (YGG) and securing multimillion-dollar grants to upskill 10,000+ youths, women, and families, and expand education access for underserved children. Her work extends beyond Malaysia to Pakistan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, and more.

Life goal: harnessing corporate resources, knowledge, and experience to transform lives.

Ms. Sheena Chahil
Ordinary Member

Sheena Chahil is a leading Training Consultant with extensive experience in training and consulting for corporate organisations, government agencies, professional associations, and educational institutions. She specialises in areas such as communication skills, customer service excellence, professional image, business etiquette, and personal development, and adopts a holistic approach focused on building confidence, mindset, and professional effectiveness.

Sheena is a member of the Institute for Image Management (USA) and an Associate Member of Image Consultants International (AICI), with professional training acquired from Australia, the USA, and Singapore, including customer service training with IATA Singapore. She is a professional speaker and regularly contributes articles on image building, etiquette, and professional development.

Dr. Ezam Mat Ali
Ordinary Member

Dr Ezam Mat Ali is a former Consultant Paediatrician in London with over a decade of clinical experience. He returned to Malaysia to pioneer digital health innovation, developing the region’s first personalised health AI companion, AskHEMI, to support patients living with cancer, diabetes, mental-health conditions, and other non-communicable diseases through accessible, technology-enabled care.

Norlida (Oli) Azmi

Ordinary Member

Norlida (Oli) is the Founder of Chapter Advisory an independent Director on public-listed companies and an Executive Coach. She carries deep deep experience in leadership, culture transformation, and governance.
She has worked across leading Malaysian conglomerates and global financial institutions in multiple international markets including Singapore, UK, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE, bringing cross-disciplinary expertise in human capital, strategy, risk management & compliance, communication, marketing, accounting, finance to business development.
Oli is an advocate of total wellness, sustainability and inclusion.

Ms. Lis Cheah

Lis Cheah is a brand, events and marketing consultant with over 20 years of experience in the consumer lifestyle sector. Her international career spans Australia, China, Spain and Switzerland, leading strategic brand initiatives across diverse markets. Now based in Malaysia, she owns a community-focused children’s play café supporting women in the workforce. She also founded an award-winning travel website and is a certified yoga instructor.

Dr. Angeline Wong
Ordinary Member

Dr. Angeline Wong, has a Medical Degree from the prestigious I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy. She then acquired her Masters in Aesthetics, Anti-Ageing & Regenerative Medicine. Having over 14 years of experience as a Medical Aesthetics Practitioner, out of the 18 years as a medical physician, Dr. Angeline emphasizes the evolution of aesthetic medicine towards non-invasive procedures that enhance individual confidence, rather than aiming for dramatic transformations. She is the Founder & Medical Director of Neu Clinic (Damansara Heights) Malaysia.

Ms. Lennie Chua
Ordinary Member

Lennie Chua is the Co-founder of The Good Foundation since 2023 focused on helping the marginalised and developing capacity for sustainability.

Lennie also co-chaired MakanKongsi2.0 the largest food aid initiative for the poor during Covid lockdowns. She also served in Agape School for stateless children in her hometown in Lahad Datu. And for a period, she worked in Bali and served Kerobokan Prison, Bali.

Lennie was the General Manager for Cocoon Medical Spa, a leading Wellness Center in Bali.

After she got married, she came back to Kuala Lumpur and started Hava Wellness Center focused on longevity and anti-aging natural therapies.

With her husband, she also manages 2 award winning spas Ozmosis Spas and healthy cafe Seeds Origin. Together with Hava Wellness offering Detox, Balance and Restore for a healthy lifestyle.
