Meet Selina Yeop Jr.

Survivor. Advocate. Founder & President.

As a cervical cancer survivor, Selina experienced firsthand the silence and stigma surrounding women’s health.

Through her healing journey, she realized that awareness is not enough — women need access, support, and the courage to act early.

Selina founded Teal Asia to connect survivors, amplify education, and promote screening through Program ROSE — helping women understand that prevention is within reach.

Advocacy & Impact

Leading Change Through Advocacy

Selina Yeop Jr. is recognised by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a Patient Advocate, representing survivor voices in global health conversations.

Through Teal Asia, she collaborates with doctors, clinicians, global health implementors and civil societies to promote:

  • Early detection through education and awareness.
  • Access to HPV self-sampling screening via Program ROSE.
  • Empowerment of survivors as voices for change and community advocates.

Her advocacy bridges the gap between science and lived experience — bringing humanity to health conversations and ensuring every woman’s story is seen, heard, and valued.

Working Hand-in-Hand with Program ROSE

Program ROSE (Removing Obstacles to Cervical Screening) is a national initiative led by the ROSE Foundation, empowering women across Malaysia to screen for cervical cancer safely, privately, and comfortably through HPV self-sampling.

Selina and Teal Asia work alongside Program ROSE to raise awareness, amplify survivor stories, and encourage public support for ROSE’s mission.

Together, they’re helping women take charge of their health — and move Malaysia closer to the World Health Organization’s goal of eliminating cervical cancer as a public health problem by 2030.
